Magical Daily Life
The Universe of Dreygoon
In this playful universe I've created, I portray the everyday life I see and experience in the contemporary world. By using magical characters and their legends instead of real people, I am able to access and establish connections with the "Human Imagination," which I use as the focus of study and research in my work. Imagination is an innate superpower in all of us; it is the driving force behind all creation.
I believe that legends and mythology represent the oldest traces of our imagination. In my worldview, I believe that humanity evolved and became the dominant species on the planet due to its ability to envision and create through imagination. Creation is intrinsic to human beings, with every reality having first been dreamed.
Before the existence of science and mathematics, humans always created from fear, as a survival instinct in the face of the unknown. Thus, deities emerged in our imagination as a way to solve the mysteries of nature. The choice to incorporate mythologies into my work reflects the importance of these elements as the foundation of human imagination, an ancient means of explaining the unknown.
Realizing this, I felt the need to self-represent in this universe. After some experimentation, I discovered the legend of the dragon and its symbolism of perseverance, power, and indomitability, traits I also see in the artists of our society. These mythical creatures take on various forms and expressions, symbolizing artists in my universe as "indomitable" beings in contemporary society.
Everyday, comedic, and surreal themes are key points that guide my creations towards the human imagination. In this way, I represent people and places, making allusions to mythology and society, creating a fusion between the "Magical" and the "Everyday" present in my work.

About the Human Imagination
In this whimsical universe I've created, I depict the everyday life I see and live in contemporary times. By using magical characters and their legends instead of people, I can access and establish connections with the "Human Imagination," which I use as the object of study and research in my work. Imagination is an innate superpower within all of us; it is the driving force behind all creation.
I believe that legends and mythology represent the oldest traces of our imagination. In my worldview, I think humanity has evolved and become the dominant race on the planet due to its ability to envision and create through imagination. Creation is intrinsic to the human being, as every reality was once dreamed.
Before the existence of science and mathematics, man always created out of fear, as a survival instinct in the face of the unknown. Thus, deities emerged in our imagination as a way to solve the mysteries of nature. The choice to incorporate magical beings in my work reflects the importance of these elements as the foundation of the human imagination, an ancient means of explaining the unknown.
Realizing this, I felt the need to represent myself in this universe. After some exploration, I discovered the legend of the dragon and its meaning of perseverance, power, and untameability, traits I also see in the artists of our society. These mythical creatures take on various forms and expressions, symbolizing artists in my universe as "untamable" beings in contemporary society.
Everyday, comedic, and surreal themes are key points that guide my creations toward the human imagination. Thus, I represent people and places by making this allusion to mythology and society, creating a fusion between the "Magical" and the "Everyday" present in my work.
